A local chamber of commerce official was in a local coffee shop one day and noticed some young people in a back room working on their lap tops. He inquired as to who they were and immediately saw an opportunity for San Angelo’s next corporate headquarters. This is how MyMail came to be our latest technology company startup, headquartered right here in San Angelo and located in the Business Incubator, the Concho Valley Center for Entrepreneurial Development (CVCED). Even though they were “discovered” in this unusual way, My Mail has been in development long before coming to San Angelo.
MyMail Technology, LLC was formed in September 2007 as a spin off from and licensee of MyMail, Ltd., and its secure email technology. MyMail Technology, LLC is a new technology solution company that securely delivers, stores and maintains electronic business information such as email. The secure email market space is heating up and has become the fastest growing segment of the $8.7 billion U.S. information security industry.
MyMail was formed by industry veterans Robert T. Derby and Thomas D. Selgas. Mr. Derby has over 35 years experience in leading, managing, marketing and selling high technology hardware and software products and services worldwide. Mr. Selgas has over 20 years of experience in developing marketable engineering solutions, engineering software applications, and inventive skill to design system architecture for small business to Fortune 500 companies. Together, they have developed a technology that will revolutionize the email security industry.
MyMail’s objective is to focus on growing the business through selling existing and newly developed products to companies in their initial target markets. This will be accomplished with a team of well trained staff that has sales experience, knowledge of the industry, and the drive to succeed.
